Jamsil Stadium: getting there and timing
Which station and exits, how long a game and the evening take, what you will hear in the stands, food, kids and access, checked against the KBO and the clubs.

Take the Seoul subway to Sports Complex Station, which serves the stadium. Your group's meeting exit (1 or 8) differs from the stadium exits the KBO lists (5 and 6), so follow your booking messages. A nine-inning KBO game has recently averaged a little over three hours, and the package runs about 4.5 with the meal. Expect organised, near-constant singing from the home crowd instead of quiet stretches.
Getting to Sports Complex Station
Jamsil Baseball Stadium is at 25 Olympic-ro in Songpa-gu, inside the Seoul Sports Complex. Sports Complex Station serves it on Seoul Metro Lines 2 and 9. The KBO's page for the stadium lists the subway alongside a long list of bus routes, so you don't need a car. Station signs and the stadium's own signs point the way, and the Twins' ticket page uses the station's exit numbers to direct visitors. Allow time to find the right exit on a first visit.
Which exit?
The KBO's English page lists Exits 5 and 6 of Sports Complex Station for the stadium, and the Twins' ticket page places the international visitors' window to the left after Exit 5. The package works differently: your group meets at exit 1 or exit 8 of the same station, and a message after booking confirms which. Follow your booking's instructions if you are on the package, and use Exits 5 and 6 if you are going to the stadium alone. Station signs name the exits.
Gates, tickets and what to bring
The Twins sell smart tickets through their app, and paper tickets from the ticket office or kiosks. Kiosks only print tickets for the same day's game, and discounted tickets that need documents are handled at the ticket office. Check the gate printed on your ticket or in your booking message, because the stadium has many entrances. Bring your passport or an ID card if you booked the package. The Twins' page says online sales for a game close a short time after it starts, but arriving with time in hand is easier than a last-minute dash through the gates.
- Glass containers are banned at KBO stadiums
- Backpacks are allowed at the stadium, but weapons and sharp objects are not
- Outside food is generally allowed, but rules vary by stadium
How long it takes
A nine-inning KBO game averaged 3 hours 12 minutes in the early part of 2026, about ten minutes longer than the year before, even though a pitch clock has run since 2025. Regular-season games can also end level: since 2025 the limit is two extra innings, so a game stops after the eleventh. The package runs about 4.5 hours because it includes the meal and meeting up, so don't plan anything for the late evening. A game that goes to extra innings runs longer, and a rain delay adds more. The booking calendar and your confirmation show the start time.
Season, days and weather
Each of the ten clubs plays 144 games, with Mondays off. The regular season runs from spring into early autumn and then moves to a post-season. If a game is cancelled for rain or fine dust, the Twins refund online and card purchases automatically. On the package, if heavy rain is likely the venue may be moved, and you get a full refund if you don't agree. From 2027 the two clubs are due to play at the Seoul Olympic Stadium while Jamsil is rebuilt, so check where your date's game is held.
The stadium and its neighbours
Jamsil Baseball Stadium opened in the early 1980s and hosted the baseball events at the 1988 Summer Olympics. It forms the Seoul Sports Complex with the nearby Seoul Olympic Stadium. The LG Twins and the Doosan Bears have shared it since the 1980s. The stadium is due to be replaced by a domed ballpark on the same site, planned for the early 2030s.
What you can see from the seats
The home crowd is on its feet whenever its club bats. The Exciting Zone puts seats close to the field, and the outfield seats were refitted with folding chairs before the 2020 season. Because the package does not guarantee a specific seat, you may not know your section until the day. In the cheering sections you are expected to stand and take part while your club bats, and to stay quieter while the visitors bat.
What you will hear
Korean clubs have a song for the club and a song for each batter, with tunes often borrowed from pop or K-pop hits and the lyrics rewritten so the crowd can sing along. Each club has a cheer-leading captain and a few cheerleaders who dance to the chants. Balloon sticks, known abroad as thundersticks, are the standard noisemaker, and the LG Twins are credited with introducing them. The singing is for the side batting, so the loudest stretches come when your club is at the plate. Learning a few chants beforehand helps, and many are posted online, though nobody expects you to know them.

Food and drink in the stands
Fried chicken and beer, known as chimaek, is the typical stadium meal. At KBO stadiums beer is sold at stalls throughout, and vendors also walk the stands. Common stadium foods include fried chicken, pizza and tteokbokki, which are spicy rice cakes. The package's meal comes before the game, with a beer or soft drink at it, and any extras are on top. Glass containers are banned at all KBO stadiums, so check the restricted-items list before you carry a drink in.

Kids, access and language
The Twins' ticket page says children under 36 months get in free but without a seat of their own, and children below elementary-school age cannot enter the Exciting Zone. Discounts for seniors or people with disabilities need documents checked at the ticket office. The package is marked wheelchair accessible; tell the operator about any needs when you book. The Twins' own site is in Korean, so the package's messages and the passport window are the easy routes for a visitor.
Who this isn't for
If you want a quiet evening, a KBO crowd is the wrong place: the singing runs whenever the home club bats. If you have less than four hours, the package's 4.5 hours is too long, and a ticket-only visit is shorter. If you need to know your exact seat in advance, book direct instead of the package. And if you are travelling after 2026, check whether your game is at Jamsil or at the Olympic Stadium next door before you plan the station and exit.
Frequently asked questions
Which subway station is Jamsil Baseball Stadium?
Sports Complex Station, on Seoul Metro Lines 2 and 9. The KBO lists Exits 5 and 6 for the stadium, and the Twins place the international visitors' window after Exit 5. The package meets at exit 1 or 8, so follow your booking messages for the right one.
How long is a KBO baseball game?
A nine-inning game averaged 3 hours 12 minutes early in 2026, a little over the year before. Regular-season games can end level after the eleventh inning, and extra innings add time. The package runs about 4.5 hours including the meal.
Is there a dress code?
There is no dress code in the sources checked. Fans often wear their club's colours, and stadium shops sell caps, jerseys and cheering sticks, so you can buy a club's colours on the day if you want to blend in. Wear what suits a few hours outdoors.
Can I bring food and drink in?
Outside food is generally allowed, but rules vary by stadium. All KBO stadiums ban glass containers, and the package's own list bans weapons and sharp objects too. Check the restricted-items list for your date before you go, and keep your bag light.
Is it suitable for children?
Under-36-month-olds get no seat of their own, and children below elementary-school age can't enter the Exciting Zone. Expect noise and a long evening, so think about how your child copes with both.
What if it rains?
If the Twins cancel a game for rain or fine dust, they refund online and card purchases automatically, and cash purchases at the ticket office. On the package, if heavy rain is likely the venue may change, and you get a full refund if you decline.
